Tweet of the Week
Repetition is the Key
This week gave me some time to think about life in general, and one point stood out:
What makes us good at what we're good at?
I started with many answers:
Skills, talent, opportunity, network, luck...
All are correct but one thing that is consistent is repetition.
Not 10 reps, not a 100...
But infinite.
Naval Ravikant states across his blogs, podcasts and tweets that rather than reading the top 10,000 books once, he prefers to read the top 100 books a 100 times.
Even Bruce Lee is rumored to have said, "I do not fear the man who has practiced a 1000 different kicks once, I fear the man who has practiced 1 kick a 1000 times"
But repetition alone is not the point here... Repetition with a goal for improving... i.e. iteration!
Here are the top 3 things I am iterating right now:
Writing this newsletter
Re-Listening Naval's podcast (I'm on iteration #11)
Being the most trustworthy and reliable person in any interaction (professional and personal)
Not sure how these will play out in the long run but I feel happy doing the above, hence I can iterate to ♾️
That's it for this week's edition guys, see you next week.
Sharing a link to Naval's podcast for anyone who is interested.
